RiceGrass this year will be held in Fischer Hall, which harbors 8 years of wonderful memories from past Rice Festivals. Everyone seems to identify with the magic that the old Hall holds and it will guarantee us a comfortable venue for this year’s concerts with whatever Mother Nature has in store for us weather wise.
Paired with the convenience of camping and parking directly across Fischer Store Road on the property we call Rancho de Solis, we are prepared for a very relaxing weekend of music.
Bring along the kids and leave the dogs at home for a family friendly dose of the great music and fun in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
This year we offer you three ways to experience RiceGrass:
- Should you just want to come get away for a couple nights, camp out and pick and/or grin, we offer you our Pickers Pass. This option will also grant you access to the grounds that surround Fischer Hall on Saturday so that you can set up your lawn chairs or throw down a blanket outside the hall and listen to the day long concert. All you Rice Festival Yardbirds know what we’re talking about
- If you want to experience the warm, magical venue of old Fischer Hall with wonderful acoustic listening qualities wonderful acoustic listening qualities and not a bad seat in the house and, you’ll want to purchase a Hall Pass and take in the entire show on Saturday. We have an incredible line-up of Ricegrass music for you this year.
There will be plenty of general parking close by, so come out and enjoy the show.
- Should you desire the entire experience, go Whole Hog. This is what we call the all inclusive package of camping both nights along with great seats inside the hall for the entire show on Saturday.
The camping and picking experience begins Friday afternoon. We will open the gates to the campground at 2pm. The campgrounds will have sections for large self contained coaches, large trailers, mixed smaller trailer/pop-ups/tents, and primitive tents only. We’ll have a large canopy shelter set up in the campground area to facilitate a community pickers circle. Hopefully the burn ban will be lifted and we will have a large fire pit in this area as well.
Saturday morning breakfast will be available through our food vendor on the grounds of Fischer Hall in the form of breakfast tacos & coffee. The hall opens its doors to Hall Pass and Whole Hog wristbands at noon, with the first concert beginning at 1pm. The music continues non-stop until 10:30pm. On Sunday, the campgrounds close at 6pm.
Hope to see you in Fischer!
